Safeguard your data with our updated data retention rules! In response to recent cybersecurity incidents affecting Australian businesses, RCM has taken action to improve and expand security measures, ensuring your data remains as protected as possible.

Identity Data Retention

Introduced in late 2022, the Identity Data Retention Policy aims to protect customer information by permanently masking Identity Data after a designated retention period. Data is categorized into two tiers according to its sensitivity:

Tier 1: Sensitive information, including Date of Birth, Drivers License, and Passport Number, has a default retention period of 6 months.

Tier 2: Less sensitive data, such as Email Address and Mobile Number, is set to “Always Retain” by default, ensuring the information is not obscured.

These Tiers are configured by two different system parameters. This allows you to set the retention periods to your specific needs as a business.
